In reply to “US Foreign Policy and the Cult of ‘Expertise,’” by Justin Raimondo, 12/07/09:
Why don’t the foreign policy elites and elected representatives pay any attention to ordinary Americans? Ordinary Americans aren’t paying the bills. The Chinese and other Treasuries purchasers are.
Why would policy makers give any consideration to the average American if they don’t pay the bills?

In reply to “Obama’s War: The Reaction,” by Justin Raimondo, 12/04/09:
Obama has … betrayed his own historical ignorance in regard to both Afghanistan and Vietnam by arguing that they are very different, at least partly because, according to him, the US had no “international support” in Vietnam.
But indeed the US had SEATO allies in Vietnam who were at least as plausible as the corpse that is NATO in Afghanistan.
Obama has also noted that Vietnam did not attack the US mainland. Neither did Afghanis or Afghanistan. And did not the first Taliban offer to extradite Bin Laden if he were charged with a crime?
It is beginning to look more and more like Vietnam under LBJ, only much much worse.

In reply to “Who Will Protest Obama’s War?” by Justin Raimondo, 11/25/09:
The article operates from the assumption that Obama supporters and Democrats are ‘leftists.’ Personally, I not only wouldn’t call them ‘leftists,’ I don’t even consider them to be ‘Liberals.’
A true Liberal would never support Imperialist war, because true Liberalism is above all about ‘live and let live’ in the fields of domestic and international relations.
In the USA, Libertarians come much closer to demonstrating the real sense of ‘Liberality’ than do Democrats.

It is Islamofacism that has declared war on the west and not the other way around. There is NO WAY to appease this pseudo Nazi mentality bent on world domination except by smashing them. Iraq is done. Now it’s time for Afghanistan. Iran is next. What’s your solution, Mr. Chamberlain? Appeasement? I don’t think so. For all of your opining, you are simply ignorant about historical and current events.
